MADELINE ISLAND COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE

May 27 | 5 PM – 7 PM

Get a sneak peek at what the Madeline Island Museum has in store for the 2022 season at the site’s free community open house. Get a first look at the museum’s latest temporary exhibit featuring new works by Rabbett Before Horses Strickland, an internationally recognized Ojibwe artist. The exhibit also incorporates some of the artist’s older work on loan from private collections. Light beverages and snacks will be served.

PARKING & DIRECTIONS

To tour Madeline Island Museum, visitors travel by ferry via the Madeline Island Ferry Line. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis for the 25 minute ferry which leaves from Bayfield Terminal, 20 Washington Avenue, Bayfield, WI 54814. The Museum is located only a block from the La Pointe Ferry Terminal along Colonel Woods Ave. On-site vehicle parking is available for FREE at Madeline Island Museum.

Groups travel to the museum on the Madeline Island Ferry Line.

Please note tours are only available from 9:15am – 2:30pm and we do not offer onsite dining. Reservations needed 2 weeks in advance.

Madeline Island Museum’s Capser Center exhibit hall is accessible by wheelchair. Due to the scale used in our other historic buildings, access is somewhat limited. Accommodations can be made for individuals requiring wheelchairs for mobility. While no pets are allowed on the museum grounds, service animals are permitted for persons with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
